IMPACTConsequences:
Economic: Tropical cyclones are not only dangerous, but are very costly destroying buildings, crops and belongings. These cyclones can destroy lives leaving some people with nothing. Not only what they destroy is costly but cleaning up the wreckage and rebuilding can be very expansive and some may not be able to afford it leaving them homeless. Environment: Sometimes cyclones can affect the environment, by ripping trees out of the ground, some of these trees can be very old and sturdy but are still pulled out of the ground. Tropical cyclones also cause waves to pound against the beaches eroding them away which leaves the beaches with not much sand. Cyclones can also affect animals by destroying their home and their food source, leaving them with nothing. Social: People in recent cyclone affected communities might see it as a good opportunity to move towns and start a new life as they might want a change or their property may need too much work to clean up . It may also cost too much for others to rebuild, or some may not have insurance leaving them without any claims to make to recover some money, leaving them with no choice but to move. |
